Game Description
While things were pretty normal in the Rift, if you could call it that, seemingly out of nowhere a fierce looking dragon pierced the dark veil, right on the eleventh anniversary of the Vale. Cutting headfirst through the thick enveloping fog, like a knife through butter. No one knows where it came from nor what dragon it used to be, before the chaotic magic transformed it. Even Wizards and Witches with the wildest of imaginations can only speculate as to what vaul dragons looked like before, and sadly we might never find out.

Breeding

The Vaul Dragon can be bred by using any two dragons, in either order, containing the Earth, Metal, and Rift elements and the Dark trait at the Rift Breeding Cave.

This dragon can only be bred within the rift.

The Vaul Dragon was released on September 14, 2022 to celebrate DragonVale's eleventh Anniversary.
- Upon release, the Vaul Dragon could be purchased for 11,111 in the Rift Market.
Upon release, the Vaul Dragon was set as permanent, and added to its corresponding elemental categories. This was patched a few days later.

The Vaul Dragon's release on the eleventh anniversary of DragonVale is possibly a reference to traditional anniversary gifts, in which steel gifts are given for the eleventh anniversary.
- The steel connection is evident from its metal element and quest name "Claws of Steel".
