The Valentides was a special, limited time event by DragonVale which required players to collect flowers and trade them at the Beachside Bungalow to receive prizes.
Flowers needed to be collected and traded at the Beachside Bungalow. Each prize required a certain amount of flowers to be traded in to be earned.

The Valentides's objective was to collect flowers.
The "Info" section of Prizes section in the Valentides Help Menu provided a display of the info box for their respective prizes which were viewed by clicking the prize after obtaining it.
Tutorial[]
The Valentides started with a tutorial explaining how Valentides will work.
The process of this tutorial can be viewed in the gallery to the right.
The tutorial took a few minutes to complete from beginning to end, but players received 100 as a goal completion reward after completing the tutorial.

Daily Gifts[]
During Valentides, players were able to claim one free gift from Tidal Timekeeper every day they login. The number of gifts players can claim for free is equal to the total number of days they have logged in during the event. If the player fell behind during the event, they could choose to catch up using gems or log in during the final few days of the event.
For Valentides, there were a total of 35 daily gifts, which are listed in the table below.

Cooperative Breeding[]
During Valentides, players could breed with a level 5 Rose Dragon provided by the nonplayable character Gardenia in the Cooperative Breeding Cave.
In the Coastline Colosseum, Gardenia provided a level 11 Love Dragon.
ROI[]
Return on Investment - how much DC you get per event currency by purchasing and selling an item.
At the end of this event, all remaining event currency will be converted into Dragon Cash at a rate of 1,000 DC per currency. However, as some decorations and dragon pedestals can be purchased with only a handful flowers and have a high sell price, the player is able to manually create a higher value per event currency by buying and selling certain items.
For Valentides, the recommended order for items to buy for Dragon Cash include:
- Rosebud Pedestal -
9,167 per spent - Sakura Pedestal - 4,167 per spent
- There are no cheaper items with an ROI greater than the default 1,000 per .

Event Market Advertisement Watching Option[]
- Players were offered the option to watch an advertisement while in the event market for extra event currency this event.
- This had a limit of two times.
- If less than 50 event currency away from the item it offered 50 event currency.
- If more than 50 event currency away but less than 100 event currency away it offered the remaining amount of event currency needed to get the item.
- If at 0 event currency the above rules still applied so it was possible to get an item that cost 100 event currency or less by watching an advertisement the second time.
It was noticed during Deepest Depths that this feature did not work during the last two days of being able to spend event currency once event currency collection ended and the event island went away.

- On January 22, 2025 an event timer appeared in the game with a one-day countdown.
- Valentides began on January 23, 2025 and ended on March 12, 2025.
- The flowers collection ran through March 9, 2025, and concluded on March 10, 2025 at the daily reset. The Beachside Bungalow remained open for two additional days and closed on March 12, 2025 daily reset.
- On March 12, any remaining iceberries the player has were converted into DragonCash at the rate of 1,000 per 1.
- The Valentides is only available to players that have reached level 11.
- The Valentides's Twilight Tower Theme is the "Paradise" theme.
- The Valentides's Weather Station Theme is "Blossoms" on Double Event Currency Days.
- On January 24, 2025 the following changes were made:
- Wrong dates in the event help menu
- Wrong icon for Gardenia and wrong name for the event currency in the pop-up notification
- Vision advertisement options not activating for some players
- Some Idol of Hypnosis selling for DragonCash instead of Flowers

- The upgrade of Aura Habitat to Large Aura Habitat costing a different amount of Flowers than purchasing it directly at the Beachside Bungalow
- On January 28, 2025, in response to double event currency not occurring per the usual schedule, a post was made stating that starting in the second week the regular schedulle will return.
