Introduction[]

So, we have a request here that is for triple element dragons that are not limited dragons. While we all support the idea of these types of dragons (I haven't heard any objections, at least), the problem has arisen that the current egg design wouldn't work for triple element hybrids (hence why each of the triple element limited dragons has a unique egg design). I don't have a perfect solution for it, but I do have a suggestion that would work for triple element hybrids. No time to waste, let's get right to it.

Current Egg Design[]

I'll start with what we currently have for the Dual Element Hybrid Egg Design. Yes, I could just link the Egg page and let you read it for yourself, but I can explain it here for dual element hybrids. The current design is simple, and effective: The primary element makes the background color for the Egg design, while the secondary element decides what the pattern on the egg is. Take Scorch, for example. The Egg design currently is a red background with a light blue lightning bolt on it.

Like I said, this is an efficient design for dual element hybrids. The problem is, it can only incorporate features from TWO elements, not three. Well, this is what I'm writing about. How do we make an Egg design that can work for dragons with three elements?

Proposed Egg Design[]

Now we get to the heart of this blog. Again, no wasting time! Here is my suggestion. We keep the bulk of the current design: Primary element decides the background color, the secondary element decides the pattern on the egg. What about the Third element? That decides the color of the secondary element's design.

Let's look at Scorch again, this time making a hybrid that involves the Air element. We now have a Fire+Lightning+Air hybrid. That would make a Red Egg, with a Purple lightning bolt on it. That would be the basic direction that this idea goes in.

Necessary Changes[]

Unfortunately, this idea does require changes. Again, I turn to the Scorch Egg. (Isn't it just a perfect example for all of this?) The lightning bolt on the design is not yellow, but in fact a light blue. In fact, more than half of the element patterns aren't the same color as the background color of the same element. Lightning, Water, and Air all have a light blue color for their pattern currently, earth is grey for the current pattern, and Metal has a brown pattern color. Cold also has a white color, but that isn't as big of an issue. What this does mean, however, is that some recoloration would have to take place while the patterns stay the same to match background colors of one element with the corresponding patterns of the same element.

Sorry, I should probably explain what I mean. For the lightning element pattern, instead of a light blue bolt, it would have to change to a yellow bolt of lightning. Water would have to become a darker blue on all three waves. The Air pattern would have to become a purple swirl of air. For Metal, the hexagons would need to become black (or dark grey, depending on your viewpoint.) And finally, the diamond shapes for Earth would have to become brown. And that's all. Huh? you say you want to know what Cold would become? Ok, fine, the snowflakes would become light blue (I prefer white myself, but if that's what it takes to fit in.) Keep in mind that this is purely for the sake of distinguishing between Dual element hybrids and Triple element hybrids.

Conclusion[]

Wow, long post. Thank you for reading it, and I doubt you'll see this sentence if you don't. Well, all I have left to say is that this idea is not finished. I know there is something wrong I can't see, so feel free to write any constructive criticism down below in the comments. Also, if you support the idea just feel free to leave a comment of support as well.
