Obtaining
To acquire an Umbra Dragon, all 10 tent variations must be placed in the park, which will allow the player to evolve a Scout Dragon into the Umbra Dragon.
The cost of evolving a Scout Dragon is 
100. During events where the Umbra Dragon is available for purchase, evolving a Scout Dragon may instead cost 
1,000.
Breeding
The Umbra Dragon can only be bred by using two Umbra Dragons at any Breeding Cave.

Possible References
- The Umbra Dragon's description states, "Rumor has it that you can summon a dragon if you sit alone in your tent at night, you need just a lantern and a mirror. If you start chanting the dragon's true name and turn off your lantern, just as you chant it the fifth time, a shadowy figure will then claw its way out of the mirror, possess the tent, spit you out and take the form of a spooky dragon." This is a possible reference to the folklore of Bloody Mary, a ghost said to appear in a mirror when her name is chanted repeatedly in a dimly-lit or candle-lit room.
- The Umbra Dragon's name is derived from its shadowlike appearance. The word 'umbra' is defined as the shadow cast on Earth by the moon during a total solar eclipse.
- One of the April Fool's Day loading screen messages mentions that "Umbra means light", although this is intended to be a joke.
