Hello everyone,
I was updating the wiki earlier and was reminded of something I have been thinking of lately whenever a dragon expires or is re-released.
A lot of pages and templates which are on pages use strikeouts to identify if content is available or not.
While this seems like it is simple, the amount of pages and templates which require slight modifications in these situations have accumulated.
The following pages use strikeouts to identify expired dragons:
Leveling Rewards Page
Breeding Times Page
Breeding Page's Parent Element Chart Template
Dragon Reference Charts Page Template - Primary Element Tabber
Dragon Reference Charts Page Template - All Dragon Sorting Chart
The following pages and templates also get modified when a dragon is re-released or expired:
Egg Chart Has A Different Font Color For Available Limited Dragons
Dragon's Page Adult Stage - Has A Different Font Color For Available Limited Dragons
Dragon's Page Baby Stage - Has A Different Font Color For Available Limited Dragons
Limited Page - The Current Toggle Shows Available Dragons
Limited Page- The Expired Toggle Show Expired Dragons
Release Calendar Page - Calendar and Currently Available Sections
The Individual Dragon Pages - The Availability Section
The Individual Decoration Pages - The Top of the Page Says "Expired" for Expired Decorations
I am proposing that we remove the strikeouts from the Leveling Rewards, Breeding Times, Breeding Parent Chart, and Dragon Reference Chart page/templates.
I think that with the individual dragon pages, the Dragons page/templates, the Eggs page, the Limited page/templates, and the Release Calendar page/templates it is easy to identify if a limited dragon is available or expired without the pages with strikeouts.
This would save a lot of time when editing, and will be easier to keep track if the pages are reflecting the correct data. For example, today (April 24) I noticed that the Carnival Dragon which expired a few weeks ago (March 28) was never given a strikeout on the Leveling Rewards page, and there are no comments or concerns expressed about this on the wiki.
Having this many parts on the wiki to update when a dragon/decoration is re-released or expired makes it easier to forget to update some of them leading to inaccurate information provided in some locations on the wiki.
Please select one of the following options:
Yes - if you are okay with removing the strikeouts from the pages/templates mentioned above
No - if you are not okay with removing the strikeouts from the pages/templates mentioned above
More Discussion - if you would like there to be more discussion about this topic
It is okay to provide reasoning for your choice.
