Bane Cane has received the most amount of supports from the community for bureaucrat on the discussion. He will be discussed among all active administrators on the wiki for a promotion to bureaucrat.
A bureaucrat is an administrator with the extra ability to add and remove rights from others. They are chosen from among active admins, and most of their rights and obligations are part of their admin role. As with admins, they are long-standing and knowledgeable contributors, selected from among the most respected members of the community.
When thinking about supporting a candidate for bureaucrat, it is important to consider whether they are active on the wiki, are available to use the tools assigned with being a bureaucrat as needed, are responsible, and can be trusted by the community.
This vetting will be a consensus vetting as outlined in the Staff and Staff's Procedures. All currently active administrators must come to a consensus on any candidate for Bureaucrat. This does not mean that they must all agree with the selection, but any who disagree must clearly state that they can set aside their concerns and work with the candidate as a Bureaucrat. As with any vetting process, if the result is that the Admin team disagrees with the community decision, a clear and candid message must be provided to the candidate and the community as to the reasons, with guidance for improvement.
This thread will close after all active admins either come to a consensus or if the process is stopped.
Only active administrators are permitted to post on this thread. All other posts will be removed.
I have no problems with Bane and have worked well with him on many occasions. I think that he will do well as a bureaucrat as he has been very active and would help with our process of keeping track of user rights as he is online often.
Howdy! I also have no problems with Bane since I know that he currently is one the most dedicated staff members in the site, in terms of game updates and tending to community members' problems ingame and whatnot.
I believe that him becoming a bureaucrat, now, should not be a problem since it has already been established that the role of bcrats are nothing more than admins who can promote. So long as that is kept in mind, then I am sure everything will be alright. And he has proven us that he is very much willing to take on another responsibility apart from being an Admin by his intense commitment to this site, and drive to help further it more. ~
