Make-A-Match

Make-A-Match was a mini game available during the Gardenia's Gathering of Roses, Arcane Pentournament, Frosty Jubilee, and Gardenia's Gathering of Roses 2017 events. Make-A-Match could be played at the Burcadian Arcadium, Arcane Arcade, Arctic Arcade, and Gardenia's Gamery respectively.

Make-A-Match is similar to a memory game where players had to try to match cards by flipping them over and receiving different amounts of event currency for matching certain cards.

Gameplay Walkthrough[]

Make-A-Match was a mini game which first appeared during the Gardenia's Gathering of Roses eventand could be played at the Gardenia's Gallery of Games to win prizes in the form of roses and gems.

A full board gives 160 to 166 roses on normal days, and 320 to 332 roses on double days. Make-A-Match does not reset between days so you can start with an unfinished board. Recording unmatched cards allows easy roses for the next day.

Make-A-Match has several results when used to exceed the daily limit, including lost roses, lost chances, and roses added to a Gift:

If the player receives "lose" by using all chances having exceeded the daily total, the excess roses are added to the Gift.
If the player answer "No" to "Play Again?" after exceeding the daily limit, the roses won appear added to the total roses, but the excess roses disappear when DragonVale is reloaded. These roses are lost.

If the player answers "Yes" to "Play Again?" after exceeding the daily limit, play quickly before DragonVale randomly stops Make-A-Match. Unused chances are lost. The excess roses are added to the Gift.

After community progress gifts were added into events in 2017, players were able to continue playing until they ran out of turns. The amount received was reflective of the pairing made when matching cards.
