Automated Names

In DragonVale a dragon is given an automated name when it is hatched from its egg at the Nursery. Once the dragon is placed in either a habitat or the Hibernation Cave the automated name can be seen by selecting the dragon where it was placed. An automated name can also be seen by using the "Find" feature in the Dragonarium for the specific kind of dragon. Each element has its own specific set of automated names which can be assigned to a dragon belonging to that element. If the dragon is a hybrid dragon then the automated name will be selected from any of the lists of primary elements that dragon contains. Some of the automated names for the primary elements also appear in some of the epic elements as well as other primary elements. In addition, there are various "general" automated names which can be assigned to any dragon in any element, except Kairos and the legendary element. Assignment of automated names is a random choosing.

Possible References

• The names Borogoves, Bryllyg, Jabber, Mimsy, Raths, Slythe and Wocky all seem to be taken from Jabberwocky, a poem in the book Through the Looking Glass, which is the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
  • Bryllyg and Slythe are spelt differently in the original poem (Brillig and Slithy).
