The Surface Habitat was released on August 9, 2018.
There was no limit on the Surface Habitat until June 16, 2022 when a limit of 9 was introduced at the beginning of Pirates in Paradise II: Treasure Voyage. And the building time was changed from 3.5 hours to instant.
On July 27th, 2022 upon returning to the market after Pirates in Paradise II: Treasure Voyage, the cost of the Surface Habitat was reduced from 75 to 35.
On June 22, 2023, the Surface Habitat had its limit increased from 9 to 12 at the start of Dunes of Magic.
On July 4, 2023, the Surface Habitat had its dragon capacity increase from 2 to 3 at the start of Deepest Depths.
