- The affiliated dragon, the Solstice Dragon, was released one day later than the Sun Stones.
- The Sun Stones does NOT increase your chances of breeding a Solstice Dragon.
- The Sun Stones started glowing on June 13, 2012. According to the game description, this glow will continue as long as the Solstice Dragon is available. The glow was repeated when the decoration was re-released.
- On June 20, 2012, the actual day of the solstice, an animated beam of solar energy projected upwards from the Sun Stones. The animation stopped on June 21, 2012, at 11:09 UTC.
- On December 21, 2012, the Sun Stones started shooting beams upward again.
- On June 21, 2013, the Sun Stones started shooting beams upward again. The animation stopped on June 22, 2013.
- On August 12, 2013, the Sun Stones began glowing. The animation ceased on August 14, 2013.
- On December 13, 2013, the Sun Stones began glowing.
