Possible References
- The Spectrapod Dragon is a reference to the real life mantis shrimp, which share its ability to see different wavelengths of color and has a punch powerful enough to break glass.
- The Spectrapod Dragon's description contains multiple references to The Oatmeal’s comic, “Why the Mantis Shrimp is my New Favorite Animal.” Its Quest name, Sonoluminescence, is also taken from the comic, being the scientific name given to the flashes of light produced by the supercavitation bubbles caused by the Mantis Shrimp’s strikes.
