The Shard of Tull was added to the game as part of update 1.7.0 on March 21, 2012.
The name of the Shard of Tull is most likely a reference to Jethro Tull winning the 1988 (inaugural) Grammy Award (USA) for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Performance.
On December 21, 2012, the Shard of Tull was decorated with Christmas decorations for a limited time.
- On February 1, 2013, the Christmas decorations on the Shard of Tull were removed.
