Notes
- The Portent Dragon was created in the first DragonVale Fan Faire, where eight super-fans had the ability to design and create their own dragon that would be featured in the game.
- The eight contest winners wanted the dragon's name to have something to do with apprehension as they had learnt about many new things coming to DragonVale in the future and Portent was the perfect name decided to be given.
- The Portent Dragon is the third Fan-Inspired Dragon released, and also the final Fan-Inspired Dragon released while Backflip Studios was running DragonVale.
- On September 6, 2017, the Portent Dragon was listed on sale at a reduced price for a limited period of time.
- The Portent Dragon's sale ended on September 7, 2017, when the price rose from 900 to 3,650 gems.
