What is The Pirates In Paradise II: Treasure Voyage Event?[]

Pirates in Paradise II: Treasure Voyage's objective was to collect doubloons.

The Help Menu in Pirates in Paradise II: Treasure Voyage provided info on some key aspect of the event.

Tutorial[]

Pirates in Paradise II: Treasure Voyage starts with a tutorial explaining how the event will work.

The process of this tutorial can be viewed in the gallery to the right.

The tutorial takes a few minutes to complete from beginning to end, but players received 100 as a goal completion reward after completing the tutorial.

The first time the tutorial shows up in your park, you are guided to click on the Goods & Baubles, then you are guided to the main tutorial page with rules and rewards tabs, but you can immediately X out of the tutorial without hitting any of the info boxes if you choose.

Earning Doubloons[]

Changes to Event Currency[]

At the beginning of Pirates in Paradise II: Treasure Voyage, DECA announced on their forum that they were decreasing the amount of event currency that can be earned from several activities by 20%. The most noticeable changes were:

  • Participating in the Colosseum now rewards 20 instead of 25, if a gold trophy is won (40 compared to 50 on double days)
  • Minigames give less Doubloons when won:
    • Dragon Drop now has a maximum prize of 40 instead of 50 ( 80 compared to 100 on double days)
    • The maximum prize of Wheel of Chance remains 100 ( 200 on double days) which might be a glitch, while the other prizes are reduced by 20% ( 25 becomes 20, etc.)
    • Name That Egg and Name That Dragon now has a prize of 16 when correct, instead of 20 ( 32 compared to 40 on double days)
  • The total amount of Doubloons you can buy in the Market is 20% less
  • The Ring of Dishonor now has a maximum payout of 24 instead of 30 ( 48 compared to 60 on double days)
  • Tolzar's Optical Oracle now gives only 40 per ad instead of 50 ( 80 compared to 100 on double days)

Prize Completion[]

When enough doubloons are collected, they were able to be used at Goods & Baubles or the Sky Bridge for unique prizes. Players were able to select which reward they wanted in unlocked prize tiers.

Special Visitors[]

When there is a magenta border around the Visitors icon, there are gold treasure chests in the park, four per day, each giving 16 when tapped on.

ROI[]

Return on Investment - how much DC you get per event currency by purchasing and selling an item.

  • Note that although the table lists the dragons, it's actually their pedestals, not the dragons themselves, that have the return rates in the table.
