- It also shares the same animation as the Leaf Dragon.
- In December 2024, the DragonVale Community Forum and Deca Games hosted The DV Lore Contest - Winter Edition 2024. One of the contest questions asked what the Pikeleaf Dragon’s name referred to. The Deca DV Team stated: 'It is plant inspired, but not one specific one, it’s more meant to be a dragon that would blend with its surrounding flora. So the name is meant to denote that it reminds people of jungle, palm leaves, dracaena etc.'
