Opposite dragons are dragons which have opposite elements. These dragons cannot be bred with a basic dragon of each element, thereby requiring the use of hybrid dragons for breeding.

Breeding Opposite Dragons

Current - Previous

Breeding Opposite Dragons are not much different from breeding other dragons. As long as both opposite elements are in the breeding pool, even if there are additional non-opposite elements, you may get the opposites. This is irrespective of the cave being used.

If the pool contains only the opposite elements (excluding epic elements), then both respective primaries are possible results. This applies to all dragons and breeding combinations. For example: Ironwood Dragon + Malachite Dragon only contribute plant and metal elements to the breeding pool. Breeding against a primary dragon parent (in this case Plant Dragon or Metal Dragon) yields the same results.

Epic dragons which contribute opposite elements follow the same principle. For example, the Dancey Dragon only contributes cold and fire elements. Breeding a Dancey Dragon with a cold or fire primary dragon can result in a cold or fire primary dragon in addition to cold/fire hybrids. Breeding two Dancey dragons together would also give the same results.

Breeding In The Rift Dimension

Breeding an opposite dragon or a version of it with a trait within the Rift Dimension requires the necessity of finding a hybrid dragon with a third element, but does not require the use of the primary version counterpart to be in the breeding pair.

For example, in the breeding locations outside of the Rift Dimension, players may decide to use a Fire Dragon and an Ice Dragon to obtain a Blue Fire Dragon because the Ice Dragon brings a third element of water to the breeding combination.

In the Rift Dimension, players are not required to use a primary counterpart, and as long as both elements of the desired dragon are in the "breeding pool", there is a chance to obtain the desired opposite dragon. For example, as long as the "breeding pool" has the fire element and cold element, there is a chance to obtain a Blue Fire Dragon or a Frostfire Dragon.

Previously Hidden Dragons

These opposite dragons were not shown in the market for a brief period prior to their release into the market, but were still breedable while not in the market.
