This was discussed between CelticStar87 and Bane Cane on a thread. Bane said it would be 30 new decoration pages because the Dragonarium lists them as separate items. Bane also mentioned that a hub page could be made, like Color Cubes or Sidewalks, which I created because it made it easier to link to in the information for obtaining on the individual dragon pages.
Also, I agree with keeping them separate because over the next few years they might each become available at different times for different prices and it could become difficult to add so much information about 10 decorations to one page.
Ok, thanks. I made a hub page for Tuplets as a start (my tables could use some styling love for sure lol). I'll work on the individual pages tomorrow.
Also, I noticed when I use the "countdown" value in the decorations or dragon it puts a big message across the top saying "Last Call!". Is there a way to disable that bit of it and just have the countdown? (I'm assuming that's your countdown script, sorry for the question if it's not!).
I think the hub page looks great for right now. I'd only suggest adding the display name under the images. I know some people had trouble identifying which was a cyan decoration with the Candy Bash decorations, and I'm not sure how well people with colour blindness are able to see the decoration colour, so having the display name shown could help them.
As for the countdown code, I didn't write it but I do understand it. The Dragonbox uses Template:Dragonbox/source and basically, on the first line it asks if the dragon has a countdown and if it does it returns Template:Last Call Dragon. This code cannot be avoided unless the source is edited which can only be done by someone with permissions such as a wiki moderator, admin or bureaucrat. You can ask a staff member to change this, but I doubt the code will be changed as it has been used for years.
In my opinion, I think the countdown isn't completely necessary to be added to the dragon variable if it isn't available in the market though. So for event prizes and such, unless the prize has a timer, I'd suggest leaving the countdown off of it. I'm not a staff member though so I don't have any authority or control in deciding what should and shouldn't be added to this wiki.
If you want to follow this up with staff, I'd recommend asking MrAwesome8. He seems friendly and he's been very helpful to me. I don't mind answering any of your questions myself though, because I believe I understand most, if not all, of how the wiki works now. Thank you for helping the wiki. ♥
I hope everything's going well with your classes. It's good to see you around on the wiki. I'll try to keep everything as up to date as I can, so nothing is too outdated when you have more time to be active on the wiki. ♥
The Backflip studios website says that it "runs through December 2nd, 2018, and concludes on December 3rd at 11am Mountain Time" and that "It will not be possible to earn additional Spice after this time, but the Copious Cornucopia will remain open for an additional day".
When I checked the game on my level 10 park though, it gave a timer at the event which concludes on December 2nd. Which makes me feel that the wording of the website is incorrect, and when they say "the Copious Cornucopia will remain open for an additional day" they are talking about the period of Dec 2nd-Dec 3rd.
Right now the timer matches the timer in-game when viewed from a park below level 11. This is all a bit confusing for me, and sometimes I get mixed up with the dates because I'm Australian and the game reset is the next day for me. Sorry for any error that I might cause. ♥
Just wanted to thank you for the blog information so early on in this event. It really helped. But as I progressed I’ve discovered you have a problem with the information on involving the Vidalia and the meta-carotene. You have the requirements reversed. Vidalia is Jive Chive and Karroot is meta-carotene. Thanks again for all the great editing you do.
Wow a new Wikian who can edit, and lots of edits, thanks! I tried to do an edit once and I think I messed up the table instead. Apparently editing wiki pages is not my super power. Glad it’s one of yours!
DragOnin, don't worry about "messing up". I'd been editing the wiki for at least 2 years and was still messing the code up LOL. I always felt bad for Bane since I was usually being like "oops" and he had to go back and fix it. One of the reasons I stuck to images later on.
Profmouse, thank you so much for all you're doing. I wish I had more time to edit the wiki again - especially the images.
