It's been about a month again since you made any edits and a while since you have used either your Rollback or Chat Mod tools. Please let me know if you wish to retain these tools or if you plan to continue Chat Modding.
The Limited Availability" category is available if you need to be away and plan to return to full activity by a certain date, but otherwise you will need to be moved to Inactive or, if you wish, you can have the tools removed.
It seems that you have not used your Rollback tools or been in chat for quite some time. Can you please let me know if you wish to retain those tools and, if so, whether or not you will continue your Chat Mod duties?
If you need to be away for a while, I can move you to the "Limited Availability" category, but otherwise you will need to either be moved to Inactive or, if you wish, you can have the tools removed.
I'm so sorry I didn't say something regarding this sooner. Lately, I have been busy with a summer job, but I will be done with it soon. Until then, I think it would be best to put me at limited availability as I would like to retain and continue using my staff rights :).
Again, I'm sorry I didn't inform the wiki of my absence, as I should have a few weeks ago =_=.
Hey, how are you doing? I know we don't talk much, since I don't see you in chat much, but I thought if I were to catch a bit of your attention to say hi, your message wall would be the place to do it :)
You have nominated yourself for the title of Wiki Moderator and have received the necessary vouches for the discussion to begin. I await your confirmation and as soon as you're available, your one week discussion can start.
could you provide your input as a Custodian to what processes you follow, where you struggle, etc., in doing comment edits? I'd like to try to propose some "Content Policies" that will help users understand what might be edited in their comments, and we can use everyone's input. Thanks!
I would be happy to help. I think that guidelines would be very useful, since every one of the custodians/admins usually has their own ideas of what should and should not be in a comment.
Like Nate, I typically avoid deleting a comment, unless said comment is complete spam and/or hurtful towards another user.
As for editing, I attempt to leave the message as intact as I can without warping the meaning, since I don't feel it is right to alter the words of someone else. But, that just seems logical to me, and I would hope to everyone else as well. The comments I edit can be anything from overuse of caps (Comments with only caps or more than a few emphasizing words in caps), spam of words/letters/punctuation, and comments with curse words or minor vulgarity that don't require complete comment deletion. There may be other circumstances, but these are the only main reasons that I can think of off the top of my head.
I think that is about all, but feel free to ask me more about my opinion on this matter if you feel this was insufficient!
