Notes
- The Mesmerus Dragon was released on February 16, 2022 during Lovely Doubly.
- Deca Games used a reddit post by u/hotsaucechicken as major inspiration for the design of the Mesmerus Dragon. The original post was supposed to be a redesign of the Mesmer Dragon, and can be seen here.
- The Mesmerus Dragon is the third dragon to be inspired by u/hotsaucechicken, and the third consecutive fan-inspired dragon that is created by the same person.
- The Mesmerus Dragon is the first fan-inspired dragon to NOT be based on a post from a Community Contest submission.
- The Mesmerus Dragon is the first evolution dragon to be based on a redesign of a previous DECA-designed dragon, the Mesmer Dragon.
- On Feburary 6, 2023, an unintended bug caused the Mesmerus Dragon to appear in the event minigames Name That Egg and Name That Dragon a week prior to its release. At the time, the Mesmerus Dragon's name was shown as a code block titled 'mesmerusdragon.displayname'. A post on the bug can be seen here on Reddit.
- This is the second time in which this bug happened to an unreleased dragon; the first instance occurred with the Tien Dragon, when it appeared under the name of 'tiendragon.displayname'.
- On Feburary 16, 2023, an unintended bug allowed players to purchase the Mesmerus Dragon and its egg pedestal in the event market for
9,550. The dragon and its egg were removed from the market about an hour afterward.
- The removal of the Mesmerus Dragon from the event market due to this bug resulted in a lot of negative backlash from players, as it was cheaper to purchase the dragon directly from the market than to evolve a Mesmer Dragon (cost of
11,000;
24,000 if the Mesmer Dragon also needed to be purchased).
- As a result of this backlash, the price of the Mesmer Dragon was reduced from
13,000 to
10,000 to equal the price of the ten Idols of Hypnosis. Despite the change, it was still
1,450 cheaper if the player managed to purchase the Mesmerus Dragon from the market.

- On January 31, 2024, the Mesmerus Dragon was added to the Wishing Well.
Possible References
- The Mesmerus Dragon's description mentions a place called 'Lemnos', which is an island located in the Aegean Sea. In mythology, Lemnos is said to be the home of Hephaestus, the Greek god of blacksmithing.
