Game Description
With the arrival of the mesmer dragons, everyone affected by the hypnosis mysteriously awoke from their slumber, as if by the snap of a finger. Although no one could sense any malice in the actions of these odd dragons, it was clear they were behind the exodus of dragons from the dreamland. They are so in tune with their home-world's laws and properties, that they were able to not only open a way between our worlds, but to also hypnotize the wizards without having to even set foot here. Why they did it and why the Wizards had to be asleep we may never find out, but at least the dragons are happy to have more lovely friends around. Curiously, everyone that went under their spell later awoke with a vague memory of a place called "Lemnos". No one seems to know where it is, only that it's somewhere in the dreamland.

Breeding

The Mesmer Dragon can be bred using a Masque Dragon and a Scorn Dragon, in either order, at any Breeding Cave.

On February 17, 2023 during Lovely Doubly, the Mesmer Dragon's price was decreased from 13,000 to 10,000 in response to player's feedback about the cost of evolving the Mesmer Dragon* to the Mesmerus Dragon.

The Mesmer Dragon was released on February 25th, 2022 during Sweet Dreams.
The Mesmer Dragon was the 700th dragon added to the game, despite the Hyperion Dragon, the 702nd dragon released, representing the '700th' dragon.
- One of the April Fools' Day loading screen messages referenced the Mesmer Dragon's overall rating, making a joke that the "Mesmer Dragon was voted prettiest by the community."
In December 2022, the DragonVale Community Forum and Deca Games hosted The Origin Contest - Winter Edition 2022. The contest revealed the inspiration behind the Mesmer Dragon’s design and animation: 'Mesmer was inspired by the idea of having a character like Hypnos, god of sleep, who would be responsible for sending the Valers to sleep by hypnotizing or mesmerizing them in the event’s theme.'

The Mesmer Dragon's description mentions a place called 'Lemnos', which is an island located in the Aegean Sea. In mythology, Lemnos is said to be the home of Hephaestus, the Greek god of blacksmithing.
