Game Description
Centuries ago Professor Bixby was traveling to the Scar of the World for research when he discovered something that he never thought possible -- a malachite dragon! It didn't take long for the Professor to find out that these dragons relish in smashing things into puny little pieces. Bixby's notes say something about not making them angry...we wouldn't like them when they're angry. Luckily the wizards were at least able to find a way to keep malachite dragons from destroying the park.

Breeding

The Malachite Dragon can be bred by using any two dragons, in either order, containing the Metal and Plant elements at any Breeding Cave.

Breeding Opposites

Breeding a Plant Dragon or a Metal Dragon with an Malachite Dragon will only result in a Metal Dragon, a Plant Dragon, an Ironwood Dragon, a Thorn Dragon, a Razortail Dragon, or an Malachite Dragon.

Malachite Dragon's Opposite: Ironwood Dragon

Required Combos

Notes

  • The Malachite Dragon was released on July 6, 2012, as a hidden dragon, along with the Pollen Dragon.
  • On December 19, 2012, all of the opposite dragons disappeared from the market.
    • All of them reappeared in the market on January 14, 2013, when the Bring 'Em Back! event ended.
  • Initially, the Malachite Dragon was available at level 17, but the level availability changed on October 9, 2013, to level 18.

Possible References

  • The Malachite Dragon's description mentions "Professor Bixby". This is likely a reference to Bill Bixby, who played Dr. David Banner in the Incredible Hulk television show.
  • The Malachite Dragon's description mentions that "Bixby's notes say something about not making them angry...we wouldn't like them when they're angry". This is likely a reference to Dr. Banner's frequent statement, "Don't make me angry; you wouldn't like me when I'm angry" to attempt to alleviate a situation in which he might convert to the Hulk.
    • The quest for the Malachite Dragon is called "Smash Valley" which may be a reference to the Hulk's "Hulk Smash" catchphrase.
