Magic Portal - Signboard Portal
Players are able to change an island theme through the Magic Portal.
Players can "Edit Paths" and "Edit Cubes" through the Magic Portal.
- These can also be selected by tapping on a previously placed Sidewalk or Color Cube on the respective island.
Players can "Change Avatar" and "Edit Sign" through the Signboard Portal on the Starting Island.
- "Change Avatar" allows players to set their "Friend Icon" which can also be accessed through the icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
- "Edit Signboard" allows players to give their park a name that is between zero and ten characters long.
Notes
- If players build paths stemming out from the Magic Portal, each visitor will follow the paths.
- There is no bonus or penalty for having more or fewer visitors. The only purpose the visitors, and the Magic Portal serve is visual.
- The rewarded Lost Island from the Magic Egg Hunt received an Entrance Portal after being earned.
- On September 23, 2014, the Magic Portal's name, appearance, and description changed.
- Before, the Magic Portal was called "Entrance Portal".
- The previous description was: "Visitors warp into your park through this magic portal. Every new island gets its very own portal!"
- In August 2022, the starting island's Magic Portal was significantly changed to reflect the update to player profiles. This portal was renamed to Signboard Portal, and now includes a customizable sign that can fit up to ten characters.
- Only the starting island's portal was affected by this change; all the other magic portals stayed the same after the update.
- The description was changed from "Use this Magic Portal to cover your entire island with special elemental themes. Visitors warp into your park through this magic portal. Every new island gets its very own portal!" to "Use this Signboard Portal to enter your Player Profile! Moreover, you can make it unique by adding your name with the Edit Sign button (max 10 characters). Visitors would still warp into your park through this portal. And you can still customize this entire island with special elemental themes!".
- On an unknown date, the Magic Portal's description changed. The old description was "Visitors warp into your park through this magic portal. Every new island gets its very own portal! As portals serve as a confluence of elemental magic, they can be attuned to different elemental themes. This magic is powerful enough to affect an entire island!"
- On an unknown date, the Magic Portal received an option in its menu to upgrade its respective island for the Lost Island and Lost Island of Olympus.
Possible References
- When visitors are "phased" onto the island, they come in via an animation that renders them from top to bottom and bottom to top. This functionality is much like the movie Tron (1982) when the computer pieces Kevin Flynn into the world of Tron.
