- The Macabre Dragon was release on November 8, 2019 during Whitbee's Candy Bash VI: The Haunted Hunt.
- The Macabre Dragon is most likely, like the other members of the Shrouded Cavalry, based upon one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, in this case the Pale Horse (associated with death).
- In the Macabre Dragon's description, the line "I wouldn't have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling wizards" is a reference to the show Scooby-Doo. A common catchphrase in the show uttered by villains when they are caught is "I would've gotten away with it if it hadn't been for those meddling kids".
- Moony-Loo's name and dialogue are a reference to the character Scooby-Doo. Scooby-Doo's catchphrase, usually howled at the end of every production, is "Scooby-Dooby-Doo!" or "Rooby-Rooby-Roo," similar to Moony-Loo's ""Moony-loony LOOOOOOOO!".
