Possible References
- The description mentions "Their arrival was foretold in ancient murals and myths, but no one could have predicted they would sleep in for their own prophetic arrival." which may be a reference to the Jiaolong Dragon's initial release happening after the Year of the Dragon began.
- The Jiaolong Dragon's description states, "descended from the cloudy skies of the Far East". The Far East is where China is located, and every twelve years the Year of the Dragon comes around again in the Chinese Zodiac cycle.
- "Jiaolong" translates to 蛟龙, a mythical Chinese creature associated with dragons and sometimes directly interpreted as dragons, given the name uses 龙, the character which directly translates to dragon. However, 蛟龙 or just 蛟 are understood to be scaly water-based reptile creatures and are not actually dragons themselves (蛟龙 is also a name for crocodiles). In some myths 蛟, with enough cultivation, can become dragons, making them a lesser form of dragon.
- Some of the Jiaolong Dragon's affiliated decorations having the word "wooden" may be a reference to the year of its release being in a Year of the Dragon with a wood attribute.
