The Pyromancer Kornix sought to conjure an everburning flame, one that feeds off on its own energy to sustain itself. Going through mountains of old tomes and scrolls, he finally found an incantation that might just do the trick. With all the preparations made and reagents gathered, he began chanting the spell that would summon this eternal flame. In a sudden flash, the book itself took off the pedestal, floating mid-air, its pages turning rapidly and bursts of fire shooting from between with intense heat and ferocity. But the pages would not burn, instead they started flying off, as if an invisible hand had ripped them out one by one. Before his very eyes, in a blinding whirlwind of runes, pages and flame, the infintium dragon took shape. Freed from its prison, it was now free to roam the Vale, burning endlessly and effortlessly.
