As dragons go, the frostflower is a very particular creature. It tends to reveal itself in the wild only when conditions are *just* right- cold, but not too cold, and dark, but not too dark, and covered, but not too covered. And they're shy, to boot- sheesh! If you were to sneak up on an unsuspecting herd of frostflowers, you can be certain they'd flee faster than an iceberg dragon in a fire habitat. But don't do that! That's just cold.
Real-life frost flowers are a phenomena in which ice is extruded from the long stems of plants. Similar to the Frostflower Dragon's description, actual frost flowers are usually only found in shaded areas and in certain temperatures.
