- The Dungeon Dragon was released on November 15, 2013, along with the Dark Dragon, Root Dragon, Nightshade Dragon, Fungus Dragon, Watch Dragon, Cave Dragon, Dark Rift Dragon, Dark Element Flag, Erebus Ostracon, Dark Habitat, Large Dark Habitat, and the Giant Dark Habitat.
- The Dungeon Dragon had an error when released. It read: "What would you like to do with your new Primary Dungeon Dragon?"
- The in-game information for the Dungeon Dragon said that its incuabtion and breeding times was 12 hours when it was first released.

- There are references to the tabletop roleplaying game, Dungeons & Dragons:
- "The wizard Guy Gacks, son of Arne", may be a reference to Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, who designed Dungeons & Dragons:.
