Doubloons were collected in the Pirates in Paradise, so they could be traded in at Goods & Baubles or the Sky Bridge.
Deca Games gave each player 
100 during the tutorial for Pirates in Paradise.
Players were given an opportunity to find Doubloons during normal game play by performing everyday activities.
Doubloons cycles reset every 24 hours at approximately 17:00 UTC.
At the end of Pirates in Paradise, any Doubloons left in a player's park were converted to Dragon Cash.
