Deepest Depths was a special, limited time event by DragonVale which required players to collect doubloons and trade them at The City of Atlantis to receive various rewards.
doubloons needed to be collected and traded at The City of Atlantis. Each reward required a certain amount of doubloons to be traded in to be earned.
What is the Deepest Depths Event?[]
Deepest Depths's objective was to collect doubloons.
The Help Menu in Deepest Depths provided info on some key aspect of the event.
Tutorial[]
Deepest Depths starts with a tutorial explaining how the event will work.
The process of this tutorial can be viewed in the gallery to the right.
The tutorial takes a few minutes to complete from beginning to end, but players received 100 as a goal completion reward after completing the tutorial.
Earning Doubloons[]
- Breeding dragons & hatching eggs
- Purchasing dragons with Gems
- Collecting from habitats (500 doubloons limit per day)
- Viewing visions from Tolzar
- Competing in the Colosseum & Noel's Old Boat
- Playing games at The Calm Clam
- Collecting daily rewards at the Sunken Treasure
- Finding gold treasure chests in your park
Prize Completion[]
When enough doubloons is collected, they were able to be used at The City of Atlantis for unique prizes in any order.
Special Visitors[]
When there is a blue border around the Visitors icon, there are special visitors/prizes in the park.
If clicked on, the treasure chests will grant 16 on standard days / 32 on double days. Once a Treasure Chest has been found and tapped on, it will not appear again until the next day, meaning you can find and tap only 4 Treasure Chests per day.
ROI[]
Return on Investment - how much DC you get per event currency by purchasing and selling an item.
At the end of this event, all remaining event currency will be converted into Dragon Cash at a rate of 1,000 DC per currency. However, as some decorations and dragon pedestals can be purchased with only a handful Magic Eggs and have a high sell price, the player is able to manually create a higher value per event currency by buying and selling certain items. The table below has been created for players looking to get the most out of their excess magic eggs by listing the ROI values for each item featured in the event.
Note: The dragon names listed in the ROI table represent the dragon's pedestal and NOT the dragon itself. This is because the dragon's egg pedestal is 1/10 the price, but still sells for the same price.

DECA Games FAQ[]
At the start of the Deepest Depths, Deca Games posted an event guide on their website.
Gallery[]
Event Market Advertisement Watching Option[]
- Players were offered the option to watch an advertisement while in the event market for extra event currency this event.
- This had a limit of two times.
- If less than 50 event currency away from the item it offered 50 event currency.
- If more than 50 event currency away but less than 100 event currency away it offered the remaining amount of event currency needed to get the item.
- If at 0 event currency the above rules still applied so it was possible to get an item that cost 100 event currency or less by watching an advertisement the second time.
It was noticed during Deepest Depths that this feature did not work during the last two days of being able to spend event currency once event currency collection ended and the event island went away.

- The doubloons collection ran through August 18, 2024, and concluded on August 19, 2024 at the daily reset. But The City of Atlantis stayed open for two additional days to give players time to spend their excess doubloons.
- On July 3, 2024 prior to the event start:
- The Twilight Tower received a new theme, Submerged.
- The Weather Station received a new theme, Bubbles.
- The Deepest Depths is only available to players that have reached level 11.

- On July 17, 2024, the Aquarium Habitat's dragon capacity increased from 7 to 9.
- On July 17, 2024, the Sunstruck Dragon and Sunstruck Pedestal were added to the "Pearly" section of the event market.
- On July 17, 2024, timers on the event island became larger and visible.
- Prior to this change, the timer for The Calm Clam was only visible when the building was at a particular small area on the screen or when tapped on. And the timer for Noel's Old Boat was much smaller than normal, forcing some players to use the view info to see the timers as a workaround.

- On July 6, 2024, it was made possible to collect twice the amount of doubloons from completing the tasks in the Deepest Depths event. This was a promotion and only lasted for 48 hours.
