Camping Under the Stars II was a limited time event in which required players would collect star dust and trade them into The Astral Spire to receive rewards.
The event was a continuation of Camping Under the Stars, which featured the release of more Zodiac Dragons, as well as the Galaxy Island theme.
At the start of the Camping Under the Stars II, Deca Games posted a FAQ Guide on their website.
Star dust needed to be collected and traded at The Astral Spire. Each reward required a certain amount of star dust to be traded in to be earned.

Tutorial[]
When the player opens DragonVale for the first time during Camping Under the Stars II, they are shown a tutorial for the event.
Since this event was a continuation of Camping Under the Stars, the tutorial had virtually not changed since then.
Although it takes a couple moments to complete the tutorial, the player is awarded 100 as a goal completion reward.
The first time the tutorial shows up in your park, you are guided to click on The Astral Spire and the Adventure Tent before being navigated to the Help section of the event. However, you can immediately X out of the tutorial without hitting any of the info boxes if you choose to.
Earning Star Dust[]
During Camping Under the Stars II, Star Dust can be earned from the following methods:
- Collecting from Habitats (max.
500 per day) - Breeding and hatching Dragons
- Purchasing Dragons from the Market with Gems
- Watching visions at Tolzar's Optical Oracle
- Entering into the Colosseum and the Proving Grounds
- Playing minigames at the Adventure Tent (five free plays every 12 hours; any additional plays cost an extra 5 per play)
- Finding Hidden Star Dust around the park
- Collecting daily rewards at the Participation Station
Daily Rewards[]
Each day during the event, the player is able to collect a new prize at the Participation Station. In the event that a player misses a day, they are able to catch up to the current prize by spending a set amount of Gems.

Return on Investment - how much DC you get per event currency by purchasing and selling an item.
At the end of this event, all remaining event currency will be converted into Dragon Cash at a rate of 1,000 DC per currency. However, as some decorations and dragon pedestals can be purchased with only a handful Magic Eggs and have a high sell price, the player is able to manually create a higher value per event currency by buying and selling certain items. The table below has been created for players looking to get the most out of their excess magic eggs by listing the ROI values for each item featured in the event.
Note: The dragon names listed in the ROI table represent the dragon's pedestal and NOT the dragon itself. This is because the dragon's egg pedestal is 1/10 the price, but still sells for the same price.

- On August 7, 2023, the Astrarium, Observatory and Star Catcher decorations appeared in the Dragonarium.
- If players had a wish at the time, they could use it to obtain a Galaxy Theme or one of the new decorations, three days before they were officially released.
- On August 9, 2023, an event timer appeared with a one-day countdown.
- If players had not updated their game to version 4.29, the timer would not appear.
- Camping Under the Stars II began on August 10, 2023 and ended on September 20, 2023.
- The star dust collection ran through September 17, 2023, and concluded on September 18 at the daily reset. The Astral Spire remained open for two additional days and closed on September 20, 2023 daily reset.
- On September 20, 2023, all unused Stardust was converted into DragonCash at a rate of 1,000 per 1.
- On weekends, as well as one weekday per week, it was possible to collect twice the typical amount of Star Dust than usual. These days included:
- August 12th and 13th
- August 15th
- August 19th and 20th
- August 23rd
- August 26th and 27th
- August 31st
- September 2nd and 3rd
- September 6th
- September 9th and 10th
- September 12th
- September 16th and 17th
- At the start of Camping Under the Stars II, DECA Games introduced a new feature called Time Skip Tokens. These single-use items would allow the player to skip up to 30 minutes on any breeding or incubation timer, with a limit of one token per timer.
- On August 15, a bug caused the Librian Dragon and the Lambovian Dragon to be prematurely released in the Limited section of the event market for a short time. DECA patched this bug within an hour after it was discovered.
- Players were able to purchase and obtain the dragons before their proper release, provided that they had the required amount of stardust.
