Bountiful Picnic was a special, limited time event by DragonVale which required players to collect magic eggs and trade them at the Picnic Blanket to receive verious rewards.
Magic Eggs needed to be collected and traded at the Picnic Blanket. Each reward required a certain amount of magic eggs to be traded in to be earned.

What is the Bountiful Picnic Event?[]
Bountiful Picnic's objective was to collect magic eggs.
The Help Menu in Bountiful Picnic provided info on some key aspect of the event.
Tutorial[]
Bountiful Picnic starts with a tutorial explaining how the event will work.
The process of this tutorial can be viewed in the gallery to the right.
The tutorial takes a few minutes to complete from beginning to end, but players received 
100 as a goal completion reward after completing the tutorial.

When enough magic eggs are collected, they were able to be used at the Picnic Blanket for unique prizes in any order.
Special Visitors[]
When there is a green banner around the Visitors icon, there are Kaleni and hidden eggs in the park.
Kaleni The Grower would appear once a day and awarded 25 on standard days and 50 on double days.

At the end of Bountiful Picnic on May 8, all remaining Magic Eggs will be converted into DragonCash at a rate of 
1,000 per . However, as some decorations and dragon pedestals can be purchased with only a handful Magic Eggs and have a high sell price, the player is able to manually create a higher value per Magic Eggs by buying and selling certain items. The table below has been created for players looking to get the most out of their excess magic eggs by listing the ROI values for each item featured in the event.
For Bountiful Picnic, the recommended order for items to buy for DragonCash include:
- The Burcadian Monolith -
31,250 per spent - Glowwing Pedestal and Starwing Pedestal - both are 15,000 per spent
- There are no cheaper items with an ROI greater than the default 1,000 per .
Note: The dragon names listed in the ROI table represent the dragon's pedestal and NOT the dragon itself. This is because the dragon's egg pedestal is 1/10 the price, but still sells for the same price.

Event Market Advertisement Watching Option[]
- Players were offered the option to watch an advertisement while in the event market for extra event currency this event.
- This had a limit of two times.
- If less than 50 event currency away from the item it offered 50 event currency.
- If more than 50 event currency away but less than 100 event currency away it offered the remaining amount of event currency needed to get the item.
- If at 0 event currency the above rules still applied so it was possible to get an item that cost 100 event currency or less by watching an advertisement the second time.

- On March 27, 2024, an event timer appeared in the game with a one-day countdown, and the following changes were implemented:
- The Harmonious Habitats' dragon capacity was increased from 4 to 6 dragons, and currency capacity was increased from 1,500,000 to 1,750,000.
- The Chrysalis Habitats received two new elements, Light and Air.
- The Monolith Habitats received two new elements, Plant and Earth.
- The Ancestor Dragon became permanent and was added to the Earth, Plant, Cold, and Air sub-categories in the Dragonarium.
- This was reverted on May 2, 2024.
- The Harmonious Habitats' dragon capacity was increased from 4 to 6 dragons, and currency capacity was increased from
- Bountiful Picnic began on March 28, 2024 and ended on May 8, 2024.
- The Magic Egg collection ran through May 5, 2024, and concluded on May 6, 2024 at the daily reset. But the Picnic Blanket stayed open for two additional days to give players time to spend their excess Magic Eggs.
- The daily treats building, the Enchanted Mushrooms, would have treats ready every 23 hours. The amount of treats varied with the park's level.
- The Bountiful Picnic is only available to players that have reached level 11.
Double Magic Eggs[]
- On March 30, 2024, it was made possible to collect twice the amount of magic eggs from completing the tasks in the Bountiful Picnic event. This was a promotion and only lasted for 48 hours.
- On April 2, 2024, this promotion was repeated which lasted for 24 hours.
- On April 6, 2024, this promotion was repeated which lasted for 48 hours.
- On April 10, 2024, this promotion was repeated which lasted for 24 hours.
- Releasing a dragon after breeding it at the Rift Breeding Cave adds an additional hour of event currency on a Double day.

- The following habitats were available to purchase with event currency via both the Event Market and the standard Market with collected event currency during the Bountiful Picnic:
- Large Chrysalis Habitat and Giant Chrysalis Habitat
- This is the first time this occurrence has been observed.
- The Chrysalis Habitat also remained available in the standard Market, but still for gems which was presumably a bug.
