- The Aperture Dragon was accidentally released a few hours before it was supposed to for around half an hour, appearing in the Market.
- It was breedable alongside the Burrow Dragon during that time period, while they weren't breedable when made officially available.
- Deca Games used a submission from their Hybrid Dragons Community Contest from Reddit user u/Hourglass-Dolphin as major inspiration for the design of the Aperture Dragon. The submission was called the Portal Dragon, and it can be seen here.
