DragonVale was released world-wide by Backflip Studios on September 14, 2011.

Every September 14th since then has been an anniversary of DragonVale and thus far while the game continues to be produced Backflip Studios has celebrated its release with specically made content and celebratory gifts.

Below is a list of any content and information specifically connected to DragonVale's Anniversaries:

First Anniversary

The first anniversary of DragonVale was on September 14, 2012.

As part of the celebration Backflip Studios gave every player an opportunity to get 25 gems for free.

Players who logged into their park between September 14, 2012 and September 17, 2012 instantly received the gems.

Along with the free gift, Backflip Studios released the Paper Dragon and 1st Anniversary Statue.

These were available for purchase and/or were able to be bred between September 13, 2012 and September 24, 2012.

Second Anniversary

The second anniversary of DragonVale was on September 14, 2013.

As part of the celebration Backflip Studios gave every player an opportunity to get 25 gems for free.

Players who logged into their park between September 14, 2012 and September 17, 2012 instantly received the gems.

Players who logged into their park beginning September 13, 2013 received the celebratory gift after entering "2years" into the Redeem Code Screen and following the steps to collect the gift.

  • Please note that this feature is no longer available in DragonVale.


Along with the free gift, Backflip Studios released the Cotton Dragon and 2nd Anniversary Statue.

These were available for purchase and/or were able to be bred between September 12, 2013 and September 26, 2013.

Third Anniversary

The third anniversary of DragonVale was on September 14, 2014.

As part of the celebration Backflip Studios gave every player an opportunity to get 33 gems for free.

Players who logged into their park between September 15, 2014 at 16:30:00 (UTC) through September 16, 2014 at 16:30:00 instantly received the gems.

Players who logged into their park received the celebratory gift after opening his/her park, seeing a pop-up message, and visiting the social menu to collect the gift.

Along with the free gift, Backflip Studios released the Leathery Dragon and 3rd Anniversary Statue.

These were available for purchase and/or were able to be bred between September 11, 2014 and September 29, 2014.

Fourth Anniversary

The fourth anniversary of DragonVale was on September 14, 2015.

As part of the celebration Backflip Studios gave every player an opportunity to get 25 gems for free.

Players who logged into their park between September 15, 2015 at 17:00:00 (UTC) through September 16, 2014 at 17:00:00 instantly received the gems.

Players who logged into their park received the celebratory gift after opening his/her park, seeing a pop-up message, and visiting the social menu to collect the gift.

Along with the free gift, Backflip Studios released the Garland Dragon and 4th Anniversary Statue.

These were available for purchase and/or were able to be bred between September 12, 2015 and September 28, 2015.

Fifth Anniversary

The fifth anniversary of DragonVale was on September 14, 2016.

As part of the celebration Backflip Studios gave every player an opportunity to get 10 gems per day for five days if they logged into their park each individual day.

Players who logged into their park between September 14, 2016 at 17:00:00 (UTC) through September 18, 2016 at 17:00:00 instantly received the gems.

Players who logged into their park received the celebratory gift after opening his/her park, seeing a pop-up message, and visiting the social menu to collect the gift.

Along with the free gift, Backflip Studios released the Wyrmwood Dragon and 5th Anniversary Statue.

These were available for purchase and/or were able to be bred between September 14, 2016. and September 28, 2016.

Sixth Anniversary

The sixth anniversary of DragonVale was on September 14, 2017.

As part of the celebration Backflip Studios gave every player a three-day double experience boost.

Along with the free gift, Backflip Studios released the Ironwrought Dragon and 6th Anniversary Statue.

These were available for purchase and/or were able to be bred between September 14, 2017 and September 28, 2017.

Seventh Anniversary

The seventh anniversary of DragonVale was on September 14, 2018.

As part of the celebration Backflip Studios gave every player Etherium template 2,500.

Along with the free gift, Backflip Studios released the Embossed Dragon and 7th Anniversary Statue.

These were available for purchase and/or were able to be bred between September 14, 2018 and September 24, 2018.

Eighth Anniversary

The eighth anniversary of DragonVale was on September 14, 2019.

As part of the celebration Backflip Studios started a special Bring 'Em Back event the day before the anniversary.

Along with the Bring 'Em Back event, Backflip Studios released the Terracotta Dragon and 8th Anniversary Statue on the anniversary date.

These were available for purchase and/or were able to be bred between September 14, 2019 and September 30, 2019.

Ninth Anniversary

The ninth anniversary of DragonVale was on September 14, 2020.

Deca Games released the Woven Dragon and 9th Anniversary Statue on the anniversary date.

These were available for purchase and/or were able to be bred between September 14, 2020 and September 23, 2020.

This marked nine days of initial release availability for the 9th Anniversary content in DragonVale.

Notes

  • On September 11, 2014, Backflip Studios brought back the Paper Dragon and Cotton Dragon with their affiliated statues until September 29, 2014 as part of an Anniversary Collection Comeback.
  • On September 14, 2016, Backflip Studios brought back the four previous anniversary dragons with their affiliated statues one day at a time for a 24 hour period of time as part of celebrating the 5th Anniversary of DragonVale.
  • On September 15, 2017, Backflip Studios brought back the five previous anniversary dragons with their affiliated statues for a period of time as part of celebrating the 6th Anniversary of DragonVale. Each day another one came back and was on sale for 50% off for 24 hours.
  • On September 7, 2019, Backflip Studios brought back the seven previous anniversary dragons with their affiliated statues for a period of time as part of celebrating the 8th Anniversary of DragonVale. Each day another one came back and the dragon and pedestal were available in the Bright Wild Nights' event market Beachside Bungalow, the Limited prize tier.
