Notes

  • Amethyst is the birthstone for the month of February.
  • Although the in-game breeding time and incubation time for the Amethyst Dragon is 28 hours, the actual breeding time and incubation time was 30 hours when the Amethyst Dragon was initially released.
  • The Amethyst Dragon cannot breed with any other dragon, including breeding with another Amethyst Dragon.
  • Initially, the Amethyst Dragon was available at level 14, but the level availability was changed on October 9, 2013, to level 16.
  • On June 15, 2016, the Amethyst Dragon's description was slightly changed. The last line of the previous description was: "Like all gemstone dragons, amethyst dragons cannot breed."
    • On June 22, 2016, an extra line was added to the end of the Amethyst Dragon's description stating: "This dragon cannot breed at this time."
  • During February 2021, the Amethyst Dragon was incorrectly given a duration window for a leap year instead of a normal year. Thus, it expired on March 2nd, 2021 instead of March 1st, 2021.
  • During February 2024, the Amethyst Dragon expired on February 29, 2024 instead of March 1, 2024.

Possible References

  • The Amethyst Dragon's description states "enchantress Gigi Ode". This is likely a reference to the geode, a geological secondary structure which occurs in certain sedimentary and volcanic rocks.
    • The Amethyst Dragon's egg resembles a geode.
  • The Amethyst Dragon's description states "Whilst exploring the Gerias Mines". This is likely a reference to Minas Gerais, a state in Brazil which is one of the largest amethyst producers in the world.
