A Thawsome Spring was a special, limited time event by DragonVale which required players to collect magic eggs and trade them at the Eggsquisite Market to receive verious rewards.
At the start of the A Thawsome Spring, Deca Games posted an FAQ guide on their web site.
Magic Eggs needed to be collected and traded at the Eggsquisite Market. Each reward required a certain amount of magic eggs to be traded in to be earned.

A Thawsome Spring's objective was to collect magic eggs.
The Help Menu in A Thawsome Spring provided info on some key aspect of the event.
Tutorial[]
A Thawsome Spring starts with a tutorial explaining how the event will work.
The process of this tutorial can be viewed in the gallery to the right.
The tutorial takes a few minutes to complete from beginning to end, but players received 
100 as a goal completion reward after completing the tutorial.
The first time the tutorial shows up in your park, you are guided to click on the Eggsquisite Market, then you are guided to the main tutorial page with rules and rewards tabs, but you can immediately X out of the tutorial without hitting any of the info boxes if you choose.

When enough magic eggs are collected, they were able to be used at the Eggsquisite Market for unique prizes in any order.
Special Visitors[]
When there is a green banner around the Visitors icon, there are Kaleni and hidden eggs in the park.
Kaleni The Grower would appear once a day and awarded 25 on standard days and 50 on double days.

At the end of A Thawsome Spring on May 3, all remaining Magic Eggs will be converted into DragonCash at a rate of 
1,000 per . However, as some decorations and dragon pedestals can be purchased with only a handful Magic Eggs and have a high sell price, the player is able to manually create a higher value per Magic Eggs by buying and selling certain items. The table below has been created for players looking to get the most out of their excess magic eggs by listing the ROI values for each item featured in the event.
At the beginning of the event, the DragonVale Forum event page lists recommended items to purchase for quick DragonCash. For A Thawsome Spring, the recommended order for items to buy for DragonCash include:
- The Burcadian Monolith -
31,250 per spent - Glowwing Pedestal and Starwing Pedestal - both are 14,286 per spent
- There are no cheaper items with an ROI greater than the default 1,000 per .
Note: The dragon names listed in the ROI table represent the dragon's pedestal and NOT the dragon itself. This is because the dragon's egg pedestal is 1/10 the price, but still sells for the same price.

- On March 15, 2023, an event timer appeared in the game with a one-day countdown.
- A Thawsome Spring began on March 16, 2023 and ended on May 3, 2023.
- The Magic Egg collection period concluded on May 1, 2023. The Eggsquisite Market stayed open for two additional days in order to allow time for players to spend their excess Magic Eggs.
- The daily treats building, the Enchanted Mushrooms, would have treats ready every 23 hours. The amount of treats varied with the park's level.
- On March 17, 2023, the maximum number of Harmonious Habitats allowed in a park was increased from five to seven, and the cost of Earth Theme and Light Theme were reduced from 2,000 to 1,000.
- On April 11, 2023, a bug occurred which the Runic Breeding Caves. At the daily reset, all caves had their egg history erased and players were gifted random dragons for their unused claims, as if the event had ended.
- After much effort, the bug was patched on April 13, 2022, and most players had their claims and egg history restored.
- As compensation, DECA allowed all players to keep the dragons given from the Runic Breeding Caves, as well as added one extra Double Day to the event (April 20th) to make up for any lost EC.
- On March 20, 2023, the Twilight Tower and Weather Station were added to the Lily prize tier for 8,000 each.
- On certain days, it was made possible to collect twice the amount of Magic Eggs from completing the tasks during A Thawsome Spring. Double days during the event included:
- March 18th through March 19th (48 hours)
- March 21st (24 hours)
- March 25 through March 26th (48 hours)
- March 29th (24 hours)
- April 1st through April 2nd (48 hours)
- April 6th (24 hours)
- April 8th through April 9th (48 hours)
- April 12th (24 hours)
- April 15th through April 16th (48 hours)
- April 18th (24 hours)
- April 20th (24 hours) (added as compensation for a bug)
- April 22nd through April 23rd (48 hours)

- April 29th through April 30th (48 hours)
- In the Eggsquisite Market, the Path of Petals was made available instead of the Path of Nature due to the fact that Deca Games accidentally released the Path of Nature during the prior event, Lovely Doubly.
- From April 4, 2023 to April 27, 2023, the Bloom Dragon, and therefore the Sunray tier of the Eggsquisite Market, were marked with a timer. The date range corresponds to the regular re-release dates of the Bloom Dragon in the past few years, before it became a prize in the spring event.
- The Vernal Fountain (decoration associated with the Bloom Dragon) was not a prize in the event, and was only re-released during this time.
