Please make this game stop crashing when I go to watch an ad. It’s been years now and things are, well, unpredictable to say the least. I have an iPad 8th gen. Nothing fancy, but nothing archaic either. I have a 100Mb network speed from my ISP with Wi-Fi download speed tests running rather reliably at around ~60+ Mb and slightly lower upload speed. I have the game set to lowered definition graphics. It costs me (and I’m sure countless other players) gems DAILY. I don’t pretend to know what the fix might be, but please work it out. I’m willing to buy a new device if need be, but none of my other apps crash like this with such demonstrable regularity. It’s literally only your app. Thanks.

It is not just adds. Mine reloads frequently when gems are the daily check in reward. I find out because gems are in my gifts after the reload. It does not usually happen with other reward types.
So with ads, I’ve found that letting the game quiesce on startup (moving around so I can do garbage collecting?) after making sure the Tolzars Optical Oracle shines. That “seems” to connect to the video “server”. I also think it seems to be the ad itself. I’ll go through several ads that work just fine (love it when the 5/15 second ads repeat :) and then boom crashing. (Oddly moving to another device seems to work. )
Bring back the frog (aka Hypnotoad :) That seemed to handle bad video connections.
Regarding the daily reward, yeah on any gem day the app crashes some times. But I’ve noticed that on non-25 gem days, the reward in my Social menu is always 25. So I think the return on the crashing investment is better (maybe? Shhhh :)
I've not noticed 25 on non-25 days. Some rewards are 3-6. Hear, hear, to Hypnotoad!!

Honestly, Deca should update their taste in ads, i can’t tell you how uncomfortable it is looking at ads for women’s health problems.
Cheers to the Toad! I’ve always waited a bit- scrolled around my park and done other things before attempting to watch ads, but it’s still very hit or miss. I’ve tried immediately on load up also with the same results.
@Argon754 yeah….. that too. I don’t know how many DV players have metastatic breast cancer, but I’m going to go out on a limb here and say- not that bloody many.

@Sheerinertia Fr, like, and those types of ads usually are divided into multiple segments, and I have to watch every single one, that’s what also makes it annoying.
I’m glad I don’t have those ads, though I do wish that the ads I got ceased being over 30secs long. Most of them go on for 45 seconds then I have to click exit, then it takes me to another 15 second segment of the ad then I have to click exit again then it will finally take me to the last segment of the add where I can wait 5 seconds before finally successfully closing the ads. Not to mention all the times I have to close the App Store pop-up thing.
DECA really doesn't have a say in ads as it's done through an ad server. Yes, they are supposed to handle < 13 years old and you can report the ads, but it's a "as the ad is seen" scenario.
I keep a mental note of ads 30 seconds or less with single clicks. Those ads I will patron. Any add that requires multiple clicks, wastes 60 seconds of my time, repeats the same demo twice (as if watching them fail the first time was not enough), or has the "click on the X at just the right spot to not be taken to the App store" (regardless of Apples Guided Access started) I will never view/download/patron. (wow, that seems like a little bit of a rant .... thanks for listening! :-)
